It's almost the end of the school's Easter holiday which means the next school break will be May half term (Whitsun). I've decided to hold some holiday workshops for ages 10+ (or younger with experience of textiles/crafting), so I'll be sharing these on my website asap. There'll be a maximum of 4 in a group, if you have any questions about these, please ask.
The 'Dracula returns to Derby' textile workshops began last week at Pickford's House museum; I was a bit nervous but glad to say I had a great time and met some fab participants. Next week's (23rd April) is booked up, but currently there's lots of space for the final one on 30th April. Don't leave it too late to book onto these free sessions!
In other news, I've been working on my 'educational offer'. I teach children/young people during the day and am now able to support learners to work towards Arts Award, a recognised qualification that can be based around many different art forms.
I specialise in working with children/young people who aren't in full-time education, such as home educated or waiting for specialist provision. Many of my learners have additional needs or require a bespoke package. If you know of a young person/family who might be interested in Art/Textiles within a nurturing setting, then please let them know of my services. Depending on your circumstances, your child's school or local authority can fund this, I can discuss this with you.
